Microsoft Windows 8X by HTC

Being a active member of Crowdtap I occasionally get chosen for parties to test new products and share them with friends. I was extremley excited when I was lucky enough to be chosen to host a party from Verizon Insider. Crowdtap & Verizon provided me with a HTC Microsoft Windows 8X phone and a month of service to try it out and share.

First off, I love technology. I always love to be the first to try something and couldn't help but jump up and down when this phone arrived at my door! The design is amazing and I cannot believe how light this phone is and it feels nice to hold. I, by no means am a professional at reviewing technology but read a lot of reviews of the phone to familiarize myself with it before it arrived. I decided after using it for a month I wanted to do the same because over my use of it I learned a few things that I didn't see on the others' posts:

DISPLAY:
The display of this phone is beautiful and the colors really pop. I love that the display automatically adjusts to what the current lighting is. Even in the dark the brightness setting isn't overpowering and makes nighttime viewing a pleasure. The main page of the phone is customizable with whatever you want to "pin" to the home screen. The screen will also scroll down so you don't have to keep everything on the main page, you can still have items pinned lower that you can still easily find.

This is what the phone looks like straight out of the box
Not only can you pin what you would like to your homepage, you can also adjust the size, location and color. You notice all the pictures, that is all of my contacts. It finds their Facebook pictures and flips through them randomly (that's my favorite tile).

CAMERA:
Having 2 kids a camera is a huge necessity on my phone. The camera is fantastic! My favorite features has to be the fact that you can start the camera even when the phone is in the locked position. I no longer miss those pictures that I usually would unlocking the phone and starting the camera.

NFL NETWORK:
I had NO idea I could watch live streaming NFL games on this phone! I literally watched the Superbowl while giving my 2 kids a bath. You can also pic you favorite team and receive alerts when there is breaking news about that team.

BLUETOOTH & SYNC:
I drive a 2008 Ford Fusion and I connected the phone via Bluetooth to my in-car Sync system. While I can usually tell it who to call and hear the calls over my speaker system I was blown away by what I could do on this phone. I was extremely surprised when I was driving down the road and my music paused to tell me that I'd received a message from a friend and asked me if I'd like it to read it. I accepted and the message was read to me! After the message was read I was able to just speak and reply! It didn't matter if the message was a text or a Facebook message. I should mention that I was not driving during this video. I was safely parked in my driveway!

Not only can I text while driving without looking at my phone, but I can also play the music off of my phone.
